This year St. Patrick’s is continuing its Math Olympiads team. Math Olympiads is a team problem-solving contest for middle school students that aims to stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics. We aim to introduce important mathematical concepts, teach major strategies for problem solving, and strengthen mathematical intuition. We will also promote creativity and ingenuity to provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges.
Math Olympiads will meet every week from 2 – 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons. The season stretches from October 26 until March 22, where there will be five monthly contests during this time. Your child and the rest of the Math Olympiad team will be competing against other students in grades 4 through 6.
To join the Math Olympiads, there will be a $200 fee to cover all of the expenses in our 20-session season. We will be starting on October 26, so we must have full payment by October 12. We hope to see your child share this wonderful experience with us and the rest of the Math Olympiads!
