St. Patrick’s School Board Committee Descriptions
Public Relations Develops and implements marketing and communication plans for the School.
Fundraising Evaluates actual and proposed fundraising initiatives and supports the Parents Resource Group in all fundraising efforts. Provides leadership and support for the School’s Annual Golf & Tennis Outing.
Enrichment Works in conjunction with the Parents Resource Group and the School’s faculty representatives to investigate and coordinate various subject offerings for elective Enrichment Courses and Cultural Arts Presentations.
Alumni Develops and implements alumni-focused initiatives aimed at keeping alumni connected to the School and to one another, building good will and raising funds to support the School going forward.
Finance Participates with the Principal, the Pastor, and the Parish and School Business Manager in the review of the annual School Budget, makes recommendations to the Board with respect thereto and provides guidance and assistance with other financial issues affecting the School.
Legislative Tracks legislative initiatives affecting Catholic education and keeps the Administration and the School Community informed with respect thereto. Encourages parents of St. Patrick’s School students to voice their interests and concerns with regard to Catholic education to their federal, state and local political representatives.
Ad Hoc Committees
Nominating Coordinates efforts to recruit qualified candidates for positions on the School Board and oversees and implements the process of interviewing and vetting Board candidates.
Policy Development Drafts new School policies and proposed revisions to existing School policies for consideration by the Principal, the Pastor and the School Board.
Sports Acts as a liaison between the Parish Sports Board and the School, and assists the Principal with all matters relating to School sports teams and sports-related initiatives.
