Degrees and Certification:
MA January 2002- Adelphi University: graduate studies with a degree in Elementary Education Pre-K - 6 BBA in January 1978- Bernard Baruch College: undergraduate degree in Business Administration Queens College Liberal Arts courses with a concentration in Foreign Languages Continuing studies from then until present MA+30 while teaching at St. Patrick School including prep for NYS ELA Assessment. In 2001, I was hired as the St. Patrick's 6th grade social studies teacher as well as Spanish to the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This followed with a position as a homeroom teacher, team teaching for the first time at this school. I had been teaching 6th grade ELA, and at that time, religion, health, and social studies to all 6th graders. Since the implementation of the New York State Modules, I have continued to teach to the 6th graders in ELA along with health. Currently, I am teaching ELA and religion to the 6th graders as well as social studies to the 5th. I welcome this change and look forward to meeting the 5th grade classes. Prior to St. Patrick's School, I worked at the Huntington YMCA with the Pre-K program. This is where I developed a passion for teaching and continued enthusiasm.
